The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam has released a list of Brunei-based Filipino voters whose voters’ ID returned to COMELEC-Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV).
Given the lack of funding, COMELEC is unable to mail directly the voters’ ID to the concerned voters in their addresses in Brunei Darussalam.
The voters’ ID for 1,762 voters in Brunei Darussalam had been returned to the OFOV. These voters are advised to claim their voters’ ID by doing the following:
• Issue a written authorization to allow their representatives in the Philippines to claim their voters’ ID. The representative needs to present the said written authorization and one (1) valid ID; and
• Contact the Office for Overseas Voting at the 7th Floor, Palacio del Gobernador Building, Intramuros, Manila, Philippines at tel. nos. (632) 5212952 or (632) 5222251 or e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to relay their preference to have the voters’ ID either:
1. mailed to their authorized representatives in the Philippines; or
2. sent to the Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, for pick up of the registered voters or their authorized representatives. Voters shall be asked to present a valid ID as proof of identity, while authorized representatives shall need to present an authorization letter and his own valid ID.

Per advice from COMELEC, overseas voters are encouraged to update their addresses during the continuing registration for overseas voting which started on 06 May 2014 and will end on 31 October 2015.
