Filipino citizens interested in working as diplomats are invited to take a series of exams at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) of the DFA, through the Philippine Embassy in Brunei, announced the conduct of the Qualifying Test for the 2014 Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examination on 10 August 2014.
Per the BFSE Secretariat, deadline for the submission of application forms is extended as follows:
07 July 2014 – at Foreign Service Posts, RCOs & Satellite Offices
14 July 2014 – at the BFSE Secretariat Office, 2/F, DFA
The Qualifying Test is the first of five (5) steps in the DFA recruitment process for a Foreign Service Officer, Class IV (Salary Grade 24).
Successful examinees will be conferred the Career Foreign Service Officer Eligibility by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
They will then be eligible to advance to the subsequent phases of the BFSE examination process: the preliminary interview, the written test, the psychological test, and the oral test.
