BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 22 May 2019 – The Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA) Brunei offices held their commencement exercises for the second batch of graduates of the Basic Computer Training and Basic Baking Course for overseas Filipino workers (OFW) at the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Berakas on 19 May 2019.

Labor Attaché Melissa C. Mendizabal welcomed the OFW attendees and gave a brief overview of the livelihood trainings and seminars for OFWs under the Reintegration Preparedness Program of OWWA.
Philippine Embassy in Brunei Chargé d’Affaires Pete Raymond V. Delfin conveyed a congratulatory message to the graduates and underscored the contribution of these trainings and seminars to the skills development of OFWs
There were two classes of 20 students each who finished the computer training. A class of domestic workers was handled by Mr. Dennis Tanjusay while the other class composed of skilled workers was supervised by Mr. Mohd Asrin bin Abu Nipah.
Three baking classes were conducted by Ms. Abigail Famador, with 12 OFW-graduates in each group. Recipes for red velvet cake, chocolate mousse and carrot cake were taught for their hands-on-training. END
