BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 03 June 2019 – Philippine Embassy officials, led by First Secretary and Consul Pete Raymond V. Delfin, graced the Opening Ceremony of the Filipino Association’s (FA) 5th Inter-Organizational and Open Category Basketball Tournament held at the Batu Bersurat Basketball Gymnasium in Bandar Seri Begawan on 02 June 2019.

Consul Delfin was joined by Labor Attaché Melissa C. Mendizabal and Pag-IBIG Representative Edna C. Peñahermoso during the event.
The tournament aims to promote health awareness through sports and camaraderie among Filipinos in Brunei. A total of seventeen (17) teams are playing this year in the Inter-organizational and Open categories.
FA President Malou R. Wong conveyed her appreciation to the Embassy officials for attending the event.
The Embassy fully supports the activities organized by Filipino Community organizations, including sports events that promote healthy lifestyle and strengthen fellowship among Filipino nationals in Brunei Darussalam. END
