20 August 2019, Bandar Seri Begawan – A contingent of young Filipino wushu athletes who are participating in the 10th Asian Junior Wushu Championship 2019 in Brunei Darussalam paid a call on Philippine Ambassador Christopher B. Montero.

Four (4) junior wushu athletes expressed their desire to bring honor for the Philippines during the five-day competition. Ambassador Montero also congratulated the team for winning their first silver medal on the first day of the competition.

The young athletes were joined by Mr. Julian G. Camacho, Board Member of the Philippine Olympic Committee, and their coaches.

Around 398 athletes and officials from 16 countries and regions are in Brunei Darussalam for the 10th Asian Junior Wushu Championships which kicked off to a colorful opening ceremony yesterday at the National Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Bandar Seri Begawan. END
